   As a college student, I believe that college is very important , and we all need to do our best to enroll in school to have a better education. During this semester, I have been attending to EAP 1640 writing class in Valencia College.While was taking this class, my writing has been  improved  a lot, and I'am very happy about it. Also, I will continue practicing to improve my writing skills,So i could be ready for the next writing class.My writing Professor Cunningham is one of the best. He is very nice and patience to all his students. I like the way he explains everything we may not understand. I highly recommend all my friends to take writing class with him. he does not get tired of repeating anything that was not understood.Hopefully, He would teach any others classes that I need, So He could be my teacher again.

One of the best experiences we all could have in life are the moments shared with friends and family.In my point of view, if we all keep our friends very close just like family we all be really happy. First,we have to have the perfect interactive to each other. I love my friend so much.one of my best friends, I know her since I was 5 years old.we went to kindergarten together, and we used to play everyday in the part. I do not have any siblings, so I do consider her my sister. we help each other in everything.For example, We do homework together,and we read books and watch movies in my apartment every Monday. Second, the best  choice we ever made was coming to the USA together. I remember how we used to help each other to file the applications and to submit them, and waiting long lines just to pick a ticket to get inside.Now, we have our family, and our daughters play together just like the same way we did. In conclusion, my best experiences in life are the ones shared with my friends and family.

Winter

                                                         Winter Time

Winter time is the most beautiful season of the year. It is the coldest one of the year. First, I enjoy winter time  because I go to spend the holidays in New York, and I play outside with the snow.Also, I like it there,because of the snow blizzard, and  I can see it from my window. After the snow blizzard finished, I go out to skate with my cousins. Second, I like to drink hot chocolate during the cold season. The hot chocolate keeps me warm while I am watching TV on the sofa after  long hours of working outside in the cold whether at my job. its do relax my body and muscles from the cold.Finally in winter time, I wear my jackets and boots .When I go out, I wear my favorite black boots with a matching scarf ,and leather jacket. In conclusion, I really love winter time because it is the coldest time of the year.

 Last week, I needed to read a short story for my reading class, so I went online to pick one story.I decided to chose  The Araby short story. It is such a great novel that I would recommend all my friend to read it. This novel is about a young boy who likes to play around the neighborhood with his best friends.he lives with his ant and uncle in England. his uncle is like a father to him, and give him everything he needs. As he is growing old, he is starting to falling in love with one of his friend sister. the boy is so scared to tell his feeling to the girl, So he decides to invite her to the bazaar, So they can start talking like friends. the girl told him that she won't be able to go because she has something to do at her school. The boy ask his uncle to give him money to buy something for her at the bazaar. The uncle told him that he will give him money on Saturday. The boy anxious for Saturday to come, so he could go to the bazaar to buy a gift to the girl that he likes.while the days were passing the boy used to enjoy seeing the girl waking home from his window. The expected Saturday came, and the uncle went out to work. The boy was patience waiting for his uncle to come home, but his uncle came came an hour late.As soon the uncle made home, he gave him the money to go the bazaar. The boy made it to the bazaar, but its was already close.the boy was very sad because he could not buy a gift for the girl. He was pretty upset and disappointed, so we went home with his empty hands.

Advantage of living by myself

 There are many favorable reason to live alone. First, I love to live by myself because pretty much I can do everything I want.  I'am really meant it i can do all I want. For example, I go out to the clubs every weekend, and I come home very late.Most of the time,  when I'am by myself , I turn on the radio to listen some musics, and I start dancing, jumping, and running inside the house. Second, I invite my friends over to my house, and we watch movie, eat candy, and bake cookies.For instance, last Saturday in my house, We celebrated my friend's birthday in my house, and we had a great time because we dance all night. The chocolate cake was very nasty that we decided to throw it to each other,and do food fight with the cake without worrying about the mess. Finally, I do not have to worry about cleaning and picking up my living room, changing sheets, and cleaning bathrooms.I could just wait to my next days off without pressure. In conclusion, I love to leave by myself because it has many advantages.

My dog name is Izzy, She is the most beautiful creature for me. She is very tiny, but she runs like a horse. Also,she has the prefer fur. I remember the first time I saw her ; I did not like her fur color because she looks just like a cow.She is brown and white with black spots. I know my dog color is pretty weird. She always get good comments about the way she runs.its is like she is in a race ready to win the competition.She runs very fast. I'm thinking one of this day taking her to the park, so she can waste all her energy running around.Next, she is part of my family. I love her so much like I love my daughter.all the time that I have to go Walmart, I stop at by the dog section and I do grab something for my dog. For example,I buy get food, snack,water, and training pads.I make sure that I get all she needs.Sometimes, when she is she sick with diarrhea , I take my dog to the animal hospital to have her check.Finally, I love yo play with her fur all the time. when is time to sleep, I laid down next to my dog and hug her. I and my dog, Izzy, loves to cuddle and sleep together especially in winter season.

I can't wait to see how the President Barrack Obama is going to try his best for his country in the next four years. Yesterday, That I was watching the election. I was worried because the other candidate was winning, but at the end of the night Barrack Obama won. He got the opportunity to run this country again for 4 more years. Hopefully, He could work on the immigration status, So many people in this country could have the opportunity to work legally in the State. Most of the student in the country are happy for his victory. since he have been the president of the state he has been supporting student with scholarship.For example, I have been in college for 2 years, and I have been receiving financial aid to pay my classes.Finally, the economic is one of the main worry in this country that people have so far. I know and I have the faith that the economic is going to increase because he is going to built new places for people to work.

Favorite Music

"Life without music is not ocean without water.'' I love music so much, and that is the way I see it inside my heart. Especially, my favorite type of music are romantics. Romantic songs made me happy,sad, and sometimes angry. I need to listen to that melody of my favorites songs to begin my day. My days always start with listening slow romantics songs.it is like light to my eyes that I need to survive. Romantic songs make me believe in real pure love. It is like inspiration to my mind to focus in life.My favorite singer is Marcos Antonio Solis and, his song are the best to listen especially when you are in love. I listen to his songs all the time,and some of his songs  make me sad because the lyrics are very nostalgic.He has all type of songs for every type of moments especially of  you are passing to a hard time I definitely recommend his song to everyone.Its is like the best cure to help you to move on.Two most ago, I went to his concert, and he did a great job singing all his songs. I had a great time that I even cried singing his sing a loud well that is how much I love his song, and all romantic songs too.As a matter of fact, I'm writing this post and I'm listening to one of is song call  Donde Estara Mi Primavera. It is one oh his best songs that he even won a Grammy in 2003. In conclusion, I love romantic because make me happy and believe in love.

Eating Healthy

People in the USA are not eating healthy how they should. Most of them just like to grab and go anything to eat in the fast food restaurants like McDonald, Burger King, and some others.First,they pick up to eat the place fast to eat because probably there no time especially when is lunch time up work, or when they are running late to work and just need to eat anything to keep the day. We should change that before is too late we are pretty much killing ourselves with that much fat and calories into our body. Fat and calories make us gain the weight that we don't need. Also, can make us sick with time.french friends are the worst for our body system is like feeding us plastic sticks.We have treat our body system more carefully, So we can be more healthy and live longer without being sick.Second, the best way to change the way the bad habit of eating fast food is to replace it with healthy food.We have to start eating more salads,fruits, and vegetables.

it is good for our body systems, and we will become healthy looking people with a lot of energy and a radiant skin color.Finally, there are also organic food in the supermarkets. they are kind of price but are excellent for our body and very healthy for us.In conclusion,to have a healthy life people have to eat more healthy and healthy.

Bullying

Bullying

In the last decade, I have noticed that bullying at schools is a number one fear in kids of all ages. I really do not like does kids that think that their are superior than other ones at schools.First, most of the kids are afraid of the big and taller kids in school because they like to rule school by been so mean to the others kids. the last researched in 2002, it was studied that all the kids that have become bulled is because that have been pretty much abuse by other, and also have hidden sentimental pain in their heart, or probably are going to a heart time at home problems with their family. we have to help ours children by always talking to them and giving them advice. Second example of bullying is when the kids use bad verbal language.In this case, parents have to be careful on the use of bad words in front of the kids; We as parent should stop any type of bullying that could affect ours children life by be involved in our kids daily school activities.

Sincere

      do you know the meaning of sincere?

sincere means always be honest with yourself and to the others. Pretty much by always telling the truth.

I have been around so many people dishonest that I think the don't really know the meaning of the word sincere. well I guess that's life. the way I was raised was always tell the true no matter what;s the problems and even the consequences it will brings to my life. lately, I have been having misunderstanding with my co-worker, and I have noticed the change of the attitude toward me.I wish she could be sincere with me and tell me whats the problem. however, I already know was her issued. its is that my manager gave me a raise,and I got promoted in the office. Im still the same to all my co workers nothing had change at the office.Next time if i see her mumbling in the back of the office. I will gave her a long speech of how to be sincere with people. It might help her to become a sincere person and everything at the office could change back to normal.

Scam

sometimes I wish I could go online without having any those pop up pages coming on my computer screen. Its like I don't feel safe turn on my computer anymore.To begin with, I heard my friend's mother got her identity stolen last year. apparently she was checking her bank account online, and a spam page pop out on her computer. she decided to click on it give her personal information , so her credit card account was unauthorized charged for $ 1000.00.Also, most of the time when I am online.The spam e-mails are always on ten way when it is time to check my personal e-mails. There are always pornography  sites popping out. I really don't like it. Especially when I got my daughter by my side.I really don't feel safe anymore surfing the Internet.

Shrimps cocktail

I learned how to make a delicious shrimp cocktail last summer. My grandmother came to town to spend two months with me at my house, and she taught me how to make it. there are many different ways to prepare a shrimp cocktail. It all depends on the taste. First, all the ingredients need to be ready on the counter,so  we can be ready to go ahead and prepared the shrimp cocktail. The ingredients we need are diced onions, diced tomatoes, diced green peppers, diced cilantros, 3 big lemons, ketchup, mustard ,and the ready to cook shrimp bag. Next, open of shrimps and put then in a bowl of water with salt and black pepper to boil for 8 minutes.Then, mix the diced onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and green peeper in a salad bowl all together then squeezed the lemons to the mix and add a lit of bit of salt and pepper. now, its time to put the shrimps together with the diced tomatoes,onion and green pepper.Finally,add ketchup and mustard to have a delicious cocktail. For a better tasted serve it with green plantain chip.

      My name is Sheida Alava , and I have been study EAP courses at Valencia College for almost two years. I started from level 4. It was very excited for me to be in college after 8 years later from graduated from high school. In my first semester in college, I enrolled in grammar class and I learned
to combined verbs in sentences. In my second semester in college, I enrolled in speech and reading with a great professor. I was kind of scared because I did not know how to begun to talk in from of the class without being nervous .Also, in my reading class, I was kind of nervous to start to reading a loud in class. I thought the other students in the class were going to make laugh about the way I read and my accent when I read in English.Then, in my third semester in college, I enrolled in my first writing class with a nice professor. In my writing class ,I learned to how to do a paragraph on my own.I learned to use the transition words correctly when a write a paragraph and always to indent at the beginning of the paragraph. Next, in 2012 for spring, I decided to go full time student and took all the level 5 in one semester. I was still very nervous but a the same time very happy because I was in the next level of my EAP courses. Even tough, I already took my speech course in level 4 I was still very nervous when I gave my first speech in level 5. Then, in my 1560 Writing class, it was very challenged for me because I only knew how to do paragraph, but I learned to start doing small essay.
it helped me to improve my writing skill in some ways. Finally, in fall 2012, I enrolled in EAP level 6 courses.In these writing class, I'm very sure that I will learn how to do a perfect essay and pass the course to move on to the next college courses in Valencia college.
